i guess they are just easier to access you just click an icon rather then having to login via a web browser

smart ftp is better because its fast and u can upload multiple.
than online ones like ftplive u can only upload one.

With a desktop ftp program, I find that you can upload multiple files in one go and it is quite quick. I have used the filemanager facility on hosting and it is pretty slow by comparison.

ooo net2ftp is also fast and can upload a bunch of files at once ^.^ depends on ur internet

but downloaded is easier and faster to access!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find that FTP programs I have downloaded work much faster and easier than online FTPs. If I'm at someone else's house and I want to add something to my website, I'll use an online FTP because none of my friends have an FTP program on their computer.

It's all just a matter of personal preference. Nothing wrong with that :)

i use WS_FTP i fined that program really easy..but i agree with desktop ftp its soo much easyer and u dont have to download no extra ftp programs ..
