Ftp Help!!!!!

Hello,
I am strting to make my site using Smart FTP heres what's up:

I upload my pages, fine.
If I make a change in a certain page I already uploaded I do it. Click File>Save.
I login to my ftp account highlight my server (the folder that I have is cgi-bin and I can't upload things there right?) rightclick upload>direct>select file.
I select the files that I made changes in..i click ok
ooh look! I popup window! it asks me:

this folder already contains a file with the same name

I click overwrite...
what the heck am I doing wrong? because the changes that I make do not appear!! It stays the freakin' same!!! Help please?

well i right click my file then click edit then overight it then it loads up

i add/ change whats needed

i click file and save

then click the extra upload bar and that works

i think i just press the "x" button or "next"

it keeps asking me to either manual upload or automatically upload and once I click upload the pop up keeps comming back

idk but when I first uploaded the index.html page it was fine but now I want to change somethings and when i right click>>edit>>overwrite the page the changes are already like, made the prblem is that they do not show up when I go to my url and BTW with www. at the beggining of the url is different than without it... look for yourselves http://kissme.graphicaddiction.net http://www.kissme.graphicaddiction.net

Its the same girl. It happened to me before. It takes some time some times lol. Right click > Edit > File > Save > automatically upload file on change > second pop up comes X it out. Simple as that.
