I'm Confused....

okay, so i've read tons of tutorials about FTP but i entirely do not get it! :( I have read lots of tutorials but they all seem to be different and I was hoping someone out there that has SmartFTP would be willing to teach me how to use it?? I need to add my pages and everything and it takes ages for the things to load on my computer, and I always feel that I have done something wrong because it never seems to work :(

Please help me! :)

1. Login
2. Go to public_html
3. Right click for options
i know that was not a lottt of stuff. lol but hopely it helped. it was what i was confused on at first
