This thread has been created due to the growing attitude problem that most of our members practice more often nowadays.
Do not exclude yourself from the points I will be bringing up below because I am talking about YOU.
I have my very accusing finger pointed right on your forehead, so don't even consider flattering yourself by thinking that I have someone else in mind other than you as I make this thread.
Reality Check #1. Are you a Moderator, a Super Moderator, an Administrator or none of the above?
If it is the latter, that means you are not the boss of anyone in this forum, regardless of his or her status. You might think you are, but really, you're not.
It means you are not obliged, or responsible (& should never feel otherwise) to correct a member's mistake in a vulgar or unpleasant manner.
You have the responsibilty to help those who need help, report inappropriate posts or problem members to moderators, teach those who are ignorant, new, or slow people who just needs reminding, and make everyone feel welcome.
You are entitled to an opinion. You are entitled to feel. Rudeness is not an opinion, it's a behavioral problem that needs to be eliminated. Hatred, Resentment, Frustrations and such feelings should never be taken out on any of the members here who don't desserve any of it.
I don't want to hear any more "I'm sorry, I just had a bad day & couldn't take any more sh!t.. I guess I took it out on you but I had the worste day of my life, I hope you understand".
It's not an excuse. You need to learn to control your emotions, if you need to blow up at someone, do it on someone who can actually hit you on the head and snap you out of it.
Don't think that I am asking all of you to be mature, because I'm fully aware that most of you are still undergoing adolescence. What I'm doing is I'm ordering all of you to use your brains & the values you supposedly learn at home. Is it really that hard to use more than 2% of your brain?
Reality Check #2. Newbies are NEW. They don't have a single clue with how it works around here.
Don't be a smartas.s and think "Well, they should do the responsible thing and read the rules, etc." because if you want to chase a visitor away for good, you feed them with rules -that is what you do.
The rules are there for a reason, it is to keep this community clean and working, but new members should be given some time to learn them.
Before throwing rules over their direction, allow them to feel what KVille is like.
Give them enough time to want to stay. I've never even read the rules! I'm not even sure if we have one, I don't remember! & I'm an Admin for pete's sake! But I know what they are, I learned them during my stay here and we've helped implement some.
Members don't need to read the rules to learn them, they are just written there for easy purposes, but it is not compulsory to spend 15 minutes on the thread and learning the conditions just to fit in, when you can go right ahead and do just that by meeting everyone. & Everyone can help these newbies learn by setting an example.
Don't chase them away when they just got here, for crying out loud. They are gonna go around saying how people are so mean here, it's embarassing not only to the ones who were actually mean, but to the ones who weren't as well.
If at some point, you completely feel that some newbie needs to get some sort of verbal whipping, please do Reality Check #1. (Are you a Moderator, a Super Moderator, an Administrator or none of the above?)
Please remember that we are not a club, we are not a sorority, we are not a fraternity or some sort of exclusive organization where people have to go through hazing just to get in. Sometimes it seems like you guys forget this.
Reality Check #3. Can you replace a member we'll lose because of you?
We would rather lose someone who is making us lose new members, than lose new members over someone who is too caught up in some fantasy world where she/he is the owner of KawaiiVille.
All members are valued in this forum, either old or new. We don't want to lose a single one unless it is for the good of the forum. Learn to live by these facts if you want to be here for long.
I want everyone's rudeness completely gone by this week. Anyone seen or caught being rude, please report them to me through p.m immediately so I can do something completely sweet about it.
Things that can be said in a fairly becoming manner, must be said in a fairly becoming manner otherwise don't say it at all.
We were not born to be the outlet of your insecurities.
Note to Moderators, S-Mods, & Admins:
Let's all help each other and watch the members with attitude problems or who seem defiant in any way, & put them in their place. It is our reponsibilty and we have the right to act upon this, so let's use our magic wands and beat them with it.
I am so proud of all of you, including myself. We are a great bunch (regardless what others may think) and the team is incredible. Let's keep it that way.
