Hello all!
Im looking for a review of my current project; http://retrohost.info .
I want it to be constructive, and honest. Honesty is most important as I'll take your suggestions.
Please rate my LAYOUT, on professionalism and the like.
Thanks all,
Ryan

I like it all over (:
.. But I have a small suggestion: The menu-bar should be as wide as the content box :b It's a small thing, I know, but I noticed as one of the first things, and I find that they should match to complete the simple, elegant look.

Thanks Annen!
I've been trying to fix that, but its hard to get cross browser compatibility. It bugs me too, haha.

Yeah, I know how things like that can be such a bugger xD Hopefully you'll find a solution, I mean - it's a tiny thing, but for the proffesionalism, it'd be so good :D

em .. what do you mean by works fine for me .. ? you're not going to fix it ? ( sorry i'm just asking .. because for me , it sounds em ... rude .. >_< I guess you should try and repair it .. ? anyway ignore this if you feel that i'm insulting you .. but i'm not .. just saying out what i feel XP )
anyway , suggestions !! :P
1. The layout looks fine (: I like the way you organise them (:
2. Since your background is white .. why are you using em .. a dull font color ? change it black ? or dull grey .. ( for me , it's a bit hard to read and it won't be good if some people have to hightlight the fonts to read it )
Just that ^_^ Just like others said , it looks professional (:
All the best ^_^ Good luck in your hosting (:

Yea - If he provides me his IP address I can sort it out ;) As its only for a review it isn't AS important. He is not a customer nor a client.
Anyways thanks for your kind words, I'll see what I can do.

I think it's good and all, but it looks more like a professional blog site than a hosting site. Reminds me of wordpress and stuff.

What's wrong with a .info hosting site? It's not like your site would be .info .. plus .info means it's an informative site if you want to get technical, so it is kind of relivent. I mean I think you'd be better to have a .com or a national domain (.ca, .co.uk, .us, .nu, etc), but in reality a domain extention isn't a big deal to me. Like I own a .com domain and a .info domain and I'm hosted for the .com by a .net and the .info BY a .info, and the .info host is, imo, better in many ways because they're hosting by catigory vs. anything else. Not that letshostit.net isn't good .. I just hate it being on revamp.

.com and .net are the top TLDs. I get what SayHiAngel is trying to say. It's like aerocharm.com for example. Most people would type aerocharm.com then type aerocharm.org right? Same thing applies here. And it's more professional if your domain extension is the top TLD. Some people for example want to get hosting at hostgator.com, would they type hostgator.co.uk? most likely not. But I understand your point to Rebecca, for you, you don't mind if the host has any extension. That's fine, I respect your opinion.

Neither would I,
It shows a lack of professionalism, market knowledge, and good administration.

That's because it is based off a WordPress premade.
.zzz.

I like it, very professional but maybe you could add a few bits of green into the CSS, so the colour doesn't look odd in the header =)
