SmartFTP Help Please =)

Okay, so I have just got the full version of SmartFTP, and I open it up but because I had the trial version, when I open it and click to change a file, like I usually do, this comes up:

No matter which I click, it always goes back to before I clicked the file and nothing seems to happen. It's not opened so I can edit it or anything.

Please can someone help? I really want to get on with my site :o

Tick the box next to "Do this for all conflicts" and then click skip, that should work.

I did that but it still wouldn't open - when I tried it again, the same box appeared *confused*...

Try deleting index.php first on your FTP, then uploading the file, does that work?

Whenever you want to upload something and that window pops up, you click on Copy and Replace and it quickly uploads your file. It really works.

Yes, you need to u pload it first; automatically...

to open it I just double click... that seems to work lol.

Yeah, it did, but I got the full SmartFTP; it's a new program and now when I want to open things, that happens :S

I gave up and downloaded CoreFTP instead.

Good luck with it. Once I finally figured out how to use that, it like messed up on me. I saved my changes and overwrote my files, and nothing changed. Now I'm using Smart FTP.

Yeah I agree, it is better and it got to be easy for me to use. But then it got messed up somehow and stopped working and won't save any of my changes. >_<

why don't you try used other ftp....
like filezilla and cute ftp...
it's easy to use....
