coding with tables is easier with DIV layouts or regular coding?

no, and you're not really supposed to use tables for layouts anyway

Because tables are for displaying information, not making layouts. :p

Divs are very easy once you get to grips with them here (http://www.tutorialtastic.co.uk/tutorial/three_column_css_tableless_layout)'s a good tutorial.

Tables mess up your SEO and display pages incorrect in Linux and text-only browsers. Almost as bad a frames :p
