shaping text

i tried using the tutorial on swimchick
but its just not working


help plz

Just take the pen tool, and make some kind of curvy line.
Then make a new raster layer and select the text tool. Hover over the vector line until you see the cursor turn into a rotated A with a curved line under it. Then click and type your text.
