Animation Shop Please Help

when i go to save my image it has a black background or parts of the background are black.. how do i fix this??

If it has a transparent background until you go to save itand thenit turns black, your problem is with optimizing the image before you save it. When you hit save, a box pops-up that says "animation quality versus output size". Towards the bottom you see a button where it says "customize" Click it. Then go to the tab hat says "partial transparency" Where it says "connvert pixels less than __ .04% to full opacity. I keep mine on number one MOST of the time. Then under that "would you like to blend partially transparent pixels?" Hit "yes" and choose a color that is very close to most of the outside ofthe image. It well help it blend more.

When you clicked the New image thingy, did you tick off Transparent background?

When I save my images in Ani. Shop 3, here's the settings that are really helpful:

To to the Colors tab and select 255 colors, Optimized Octree, and Nearest Color.

In the Partial Transparency, select Convert less than 1 0.4% opacity to full, and in the "Would you like to blend the partially transparent pixels?" Select No, use the existing image color at 100% opacity.
